As I reported on 24 August, the Rowing History Symposium and Exhibit Opening of Thomas E. Weil Jr. Rowing History Collection at Marist University Archives and Special Collections, which was organised by Dr. John F. Ansley, Director of Archives and Special Collections, and his staff, on 15 August was a marvellous event. If you were not there, I’m sorry you missed it.
However, yesterday, John Ansley announced that the exhibition will remain up throughout the end of the year. Feel free to stop by during the opening hours, Monday – Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. Of course, even if you were there on 15 August, you are welcome back to take a second peek.
Finally, an important thing. Please consider supporting the work of Tom’s collection as many more of his artifacts remain to be catalogued. If you’d like to contribute (there is a matching campaign for the endowment still underway), you can do so online here, or mail a check made out to Marist University with Weil Restricted Fund on the memo to:
