By Philip Kuepper
A pale pure
dawn light falls
on a photograph I took
of a rowboat anchored
on the absolute
stillness of the Mystic
River one summer
morning twenty years ago.
Each time I look on it
my eyes are drawn into it,
and the photograph of a moment
in my life I lived,
I live, again,
my real life become
a photograph of itself.
