Mike Sweeney is coming out with a book, You, Boy, the River!.

You, Boy, the River! is the story of Mike Sweeney’s rowing journey, from learning to row at school to ending up serving on the World Rowing Council for 14 years and chairing Henley Royal Regatta for more than 20 years. Sweeney rowed for Cambridge in the Boat Race, won medals at Henley and rowed for Great Britain at European Championships and World Championships. In the 1970s, he was both Chairman of the Selection Board and Team Manager for the British Rowing Team. As Chairman of the Events Commission of World Rowing, Sweeney was responsible for numerous World Cups, World Championships and Olympic Regattas.
