She put all else
out of her mind.
She would take her shell
to the river and row.
The busyness of life
had gotten in the way of living.
She would trim away the unnecessary
fat ot it.

To feel the shell set upon water,
to sit in the shell
and feel the river beneath the shell,
to know she was
the third point in the triangle:
shell, river, herself,
was to know completeness.
