HTBS Caption Competition Ends Tonight!

A card from the Victorian era, a time when the 25th December holiday was (inexplicably) linked with Christmas.

HTBS editor Göran R Buckhorn writes:

This is a reminder that our caption competition for the image above will end tonight at 2400 (12 p.m.) U.S. eastern time. It seems the dogs image has woken up a lot of readers’ imagination and most of the suggestions you will find in the Comment section below. A few have been sent to me via e-mail.

The winner will receive a signed copy of A Yank at Cambridge by yours truly and A Sea To Row By by HTBS’s own rowing poet, Philip W. Kuepper. Philip’s book will soon be published – although, already now you will be able to read about it and order it from Amazon, in the USA and the UK.

Read more about the competition here.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank all HTBS contributors and readers who keep us going and wish you all a

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
