Fans of sculling, large silver badges and 18th-century Watermen’s costumes may recall my report on the 300th Doggett’s Coat and Badge, held last July. It is a little late, but I have just found a post on the video-sharing website, Vimeo, showing helicopter coverage of the race. The four minute edit of a twenty four minute race has some spectacular shots of London and the Thames but, unfortunately, it is obviously a roughly cut version of a longer video.
I presume that the race was filmed for a television programme on the Waterman’s Company that is planned for transmission in 2015, the 300th year of Doggett’s.
