Sabaudia will not be hosting the European Rowing Under-19 Championships in May.

World Rowing announced yesterday that the Organising Committee of the 2022 European Rowing Under-19 Championships in Sabaudia, Italy, has informed World Rowing and the European Rowing Board (ERB) that the committee is “unable to meet [the] obligation to host the event in Sabaudia on 21-22 May 2022”.

World Rowing and the European Rowing Board have accepted the withdrawal from Sabaudia. The ERB has started discussions with the Italian Rowing Federation to try to find an alternative venue in Italy for the same dates, 21-22 May 2022.

World Rowing wrote on its website that more information about where the European Rowing Under-19 Championships will be held will be published tomorrow, Friday 25 March 2022.
