Tim Koch goes yo-ho-ho.
There was a Jumbo entry for our Christmas competition, including a herd of trunk-related jokes that must have been dug up from the Elephants’ Graveyard.
There is a controversial choice for third place as the contributor, Rob Falconer, did not get the nomenclature quite right:
Believe me, this is a better arrangement than putting the elephant in the canoe.
It’s nice to know that HTBS attracts readers from outside the world of rowing.
Second place goes down under to HTBS contributor William O’Chee:
Hey Leander, can a hippo do this?
The winner is (pause underscored by dramatic drum-roll) Ben Phillips of London Rowing Club:
Zimbabwe in training for the last 500m at LA28.
For those who missed it, the rowing course at the 2028 LA Olympics will be 1,500 metres not the usual 2,000 metres.
