World Junior Championships Start in Tokyo Today

Today, the 2019 Junior Championships start on the Sea Forest Waterway in Tokyo, Japan.

These championships will give the Rowing World a first glimpse of this new venue that next year will organise the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Junior Championships will be a test run to see how the regatta course holds up.

The draw for the Junior Championships was yesterday and the first races will start today at 9:30 JST.

Here is how to follow the event on mobile, tablet, or desktop, according to FISA, World Rowing::

The provisional time table for the event can be found here. And entries for all the races are available here.

Live race tracker and LIVE audio will be available for all races on www.worldrowing.com.

LIVE video streaming will be available on the World Rowing website. The video streaming will start 10 minutes before every race and will cover all races from today, Wednesday 7 August through Sunday 11 August. From Wednesday to Saturday the last 1,000 metres will be streamed. On Sunday it will be the full 2,000 metres.

  1. The provisional timetable was updated subsequently because of Wednesday’s weather forecast. Results haven’t appeared on the page linked, but are elsewhere on the event website.
