Here follows chapter 12 of “The Seven Seat: A True Story of Rowing, Redemption, and Revenge”, Dan Boyne’s tale about his rowing and sculling days in the 1970s at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, a series published on Row2K’s website.

In this chapter, “The Ghost Boat”, Dan Boyne and the crew are given a light Schoenbrod, which allows them to beat the heavies over and over again – a nice feeling. The crew is now two weeks away from their first race, against the Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut…
