HTBS editor Göran R Buckhorn writes:

On 10 October, HTBS sent you readers off to Row2K website to read rowing writer Dan Boyne’s new story “The Seven Seat: A True Story of Rowing, Redemption, and Revenge”, chapter 1, in which Boyne goes up to Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, in the mid-1970s. See here.

Two days ago, Row2K published chapter 2, in which Boyne looks back at his early school years – he seems to have been beaten up by the school bullies quite often. Or as he writes: ‘My small size, coupled with a snarky attitude, seemed to invite hostile situations. My presence was like blood in the water for the playground sharks.’

Read Chapter 2 on Row2K here.
