Earlier today, Worldrowing.com (FISA) announced the six winners of the organisation’s International Women’s Day photo contest, one photo from each continent. Under the slogan ‘We’re in this together’ more than 500 photos were submitted from all the corners of the world. The images that were sent in truly showed the tremendous spectra of women rowing, from elite to junior and masters, from erg rowing to coastal rowing.
On its website, Worldrowing.com writes: ‘Using the theme of “We’re in this together” the photos truly demonstrated how women and men can work together to make change. The variety of photos also showed a passion for the sport that sees no boundaries.’
The winners came from Brazil, France, New Zealand, Egypt, USA and Japan. See the winners’ photographs here. The winners will receive prizes from FISA’s partner, New Wave.
FISA intends to post all images they received on their Facebook and Instagram accounts the coming months.
