Author and rowing historian Clive Radley, of the famed boatbuilding family, pointed HTBS in the direction of not more than ten old single sculls up for auction on the British eBay site, one shell actually built by V. Radley. Starting bid is only £50 each (or Buy it Now for £150). All boats are ‘as is’, what you see in the picture is what you buy, some shells without sliding seats, foot stretchers, etc, and no blades come with the boats, but the seller has some blades for sale as well.

Auction ends on Friday – and it is pick-ups only.
