
On 9 February HTBS wrote about the Thomas Keller Medal, which is the highest distinction in the sport of rowing. After collecting nominees from the public, at the regatta in Lucerne in July, the Slovenian rower and sculler Iztok Čop was awarded the Medal from the hands of Thomas Keller’s son, Dominik.
Čop is indeed a worthy winner of this award. Between 1991 and 2012, he took 1 Olympic gold medal, 1 silver and 2 bronze; and from the World Championships, the Slovenian has 4 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze in his medal collection.
