Painful…

For those of you HTBS readers who earlier have expressed sorrow that the National Rowing Foundation’s National Rowing Hall of Fame at Mystic Seaport, in Mystic, Connecticut, has closed, been packed and shipped off to an unknown future, here is the last nail in the coffin: the G.W. Blunt White Building is right now being demolished. It’s a sad sight to see:

IMG_0398I have shared some of these photos with my fellow-brothers-and-sisters-in-arms, and Tom Weil wrote: “Painful!”, and Gill Perry, NRF’s secretary and widow of Hart Perry, who was the man who started the rowing exhibit and the Rowing Hall of Fame at Mystic Seaport in 2008, wrote:”So sad! So many memories – many hours of dedicated work on so many fronts. I hope Hart is looking the other way!”
