HTBS received an e-mail from rowing historian Bill Lanouette of San Diego. Bill writes:
As a 40+ year member (now non-resident) of the Potomac Boat Club, Washington D.C., I took a peek at the webcam to see how my Right Coast fellows were faring. Not well, I saw, with the ramps up and the river a sheet of ice (see above). It’s a chilly contrast to a “winter” shot at the San Diego Rowing Club (see below), where I now row a couple of days a week.
Cheers, Bill L.
That’s quite a weather contrast. We living along the Connecticut shoreline have been hammered with snow for a few weeks. We cannot wait for the San Diego ‘winter’ to start here ~ G.R.B.
