Today on HTBS, we would like to point you in the direction of another blog written by rowing coach Jason Dorland, who for many rowers is known as the author of the book Chariots and Horses: Life Lessons from an Olympic Rower (2011). Dorland is coaching crews at Ridley College in St. Catharines, Ontario, and his latest blog entry, the long piece “6 Days Away”, which was posted earlier today, is how he took the school’s rowing team to Düsseldorf, Germany, for a training camp before heading to Henley Royal Regatta this past summer.
It is a well-written piece with deep insights what a training camp abroad means and how it is to race at the famous English regatta. Enjoy it here.
