Topsy-Turvy Rowing World

HTBS’s Hélène writes in an e-mail: “Have you noticed that the Coastal World Championship in Istanbul (held in October) have had less coverage than the Championship in NZ? I wonder whether FISA is less interested in sea rowing?

I found it ‘funny’ to notice that in Istanbul, the sea was very calm during the races. Those used to sea rowing had difficulties to adapt. And in NZ, the races were postponed because of the wind… An upside-down world!”

I agree with Hélène, FISA’s web site has not have that many feature articles about the Championships held in Istanbul. Click here to read what FISA wrote about the World Coastal Rowing Championships. Click here for the results.
