Apart from The Sound of Music and some of the Indiana Jones franchise, there have not been many “family films” that feature Nazis. However, the George Clooney directed movie, The Boys in the Boat, may be one of these rare productions. The MGM studio has been delighted by people’s reaction at test screenings and has decided on a Christmas Day US release in an attempt to attract the family audience (going to the cinema on 25 December is more common in the US than in Europe). The UK release will be on 12 January 2024.
On 4 October, MGM posted a “Look Inside Featurette” on YouTube. Below are some screenshots from this together with a link to the whole 98-second trailer. It all looks very promising!

Brilliant book. Seen so many filming sites. Can’t wait for this film to be released.
