The other day, USRowing announced that the Head Of The Charles Regatta (HOCR) will be supporting the national team athletes as an “Official USRowing Partner: U.S. National Team – 2022 Henley Royal Regatta.”

HOCR will provide substantial financial support to the U.S. National Team for the rowers’ trip to Henley Royal Regatta (HRR). This will be first year HRR will run for six days, between 28 June and 3 July.

Fred Schoch, executive director of the HOCR, will join the U.S. National Team at HRR and serve as an honorary U.S. coach.

“We are excited for this opportunity to support USRowing and the national team,” Schoch said in a statement. “Our national team athletes work tirelessly to represent our country and our sport – it’s an honor to come alongside and support their efforts.”

About being supported by HOCR, Amanda Kraus, USRowing CEO, said: “USRowing has a long and important relationship with the Head Of The Charles Regatta, and we are so grateful for their continued and generous support of the U.S. National Team. We look forward to a special chance to see the U.S. team race at Henley Royal Regatta – an opportunity made possible through the support of our friends at the HOCR.”

This year, the HOCR, which was founded in 1965, will run on 21-23 October.
