In mid-January, HTBS wrote about some wooden vessels being built in Richmond upon Thames for an upcoming rowing movie based on a nowadays famous best-selling book by Daniel James Brown. Peter Williams had taken some interesting photographs for that article.

Peter Williams, who together with Sandy Nairne, is working on the biography Titan of the Thames: The Life of Lord Desborough about William Grenfell, passed Richmond upon Thames today and took some updated photographs of the training punt Nero (earlier mentioned as the Leviathan). Nero was the name of the Huskies’ training punt at the University of Washington in 1936 (while the Leviathan was the name of the coaching vessel at Oxford built in 1951).
