The 2021 three-day Open Baltic Cup Regatta started yesterday in Trakai, Lithuania, with the arrival of the crews. The actual racing starts today. The Baltic Cup, which is for women and men junior rowers not older than 17 years of age, started in 1994 in Poznan, Poland.
This year’s regatta is open for rowers not only from the Baltic countries, so a total of 12 nations will compete in single sculls, double sculls, pairs, fours and quadruple sculls. Saturday’s races will be over a 2,000-metre course while Sunday races are sprints, over 500 metres.
