HTBS editor Göran R Buckhorn writes:
Some HTBS readers have told me that their first two go-to rowing websites are Row2K and ‘Hear The Boat Sing’ (HTBS). Therefore, some of you readers might already have read what is coming up below. However, for those of you who have HTBS as your sole source of rowing ‘information’, this is going to be a delightful treat.
Last week, Dan Boyne, renowned author of Essential Sculling (2000), Red Rose Crew (2005), Kelly: A Father, A Son, An American Quest (2012), published a new story, a work of ‘creative non-fiction’, as Boyne calls it himself, on Row2k – “The Seven Seat: A True Story of Rowing, Redemption, and Revenge”. On the following link you will be able to read Boyne’s tale. Enjoy chapter 1 here.
