Three days ago, the organisers for the 2017 World Rowing Championships in Sarasota–Bradenton, Florida, released a promotion video (see above), not only for the championships but also for the site where they are held.

The 30-second video has been shared on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and will soon be airing as a commercial throughout the Tampa Bay area, said Max Winitz, who is the World Rowing Championships spokesman.

He was the one who came up with the tag line ‘If this doesn’t get you pumped for the 2017 World Rowing Championships, nothing else will,’ the Sarasota Herald-Tribune wrote in an article on 9 August. The video was created by Fanologo, a marketing company based in California.

‘Its purpose is to get people psyched for the upcoming event by showing our community that the 2017 World Rowing Championships will feature so much more than just the amazing action taking place on the water,’ Winitz told the Herald-Tribune.
