This website covers all aspects of the rich history of rowing, as a sport, culture phenomena, a life style, and a necessary element to keep your wit and stay sane.
Dear Greg, of course I should have known that HTBS had previously published an image of a gondola and a swan. But to be honest, after 2,333 articles published, I cannot remember what we have had on the website.
Time you did a piece on Gondola rowing in England? And where, by the way, is the swan?
Sorry, I couldn’t find an image with both a gondola and a swan, so you have to imagine the latter.
I am trying to send you a photo of the same gondola with several (greedy looking) swans. But I don’t know how to do it.
Kind regards
Robin
Dear Robin, someone else beat you to it, but I appreciated very much that you tried.
Kind regards,
Göran
It’s the same picture!!

The same gondola features in an earlier HTBS article. There is even a nice postcard with Marie Corelli in the boat accompanied by a swan: https://heartheboatsing.com/2016/08/04/will-the-real-mighty-atom-please-stand-up/
