Rowing in the Human Race
The rower is glimpsed,
Physical perfection,
As he pounds the water
In competition,
Flexed physical perfection,
Desired, envied,
Made romance of
By those watching him,
Glimpsed prefection the eye possesses,
Like flesh possesses shadow,
The perfected moment experienced
That eludes one
As one is experiencing it.
