But without suggesting that you are laying claim that this tradition is exclusively Swedish, might it not be ingenuous to mention the Finns' overwhelming dominance in this activity!?! 8000 of us/them gathering in Sulkava next weekend (7 – 10 July) – including 16 international crews. (There might also be a Swedish one there – I must check!)
