Rob Baker, the CUBC Men’s Chief Coach, pictured busy at work on Wednesday. Perhaps he is hoping for a Cambridge clean sweep on Boat Race Day as well?

Tideway Week is well under way, but Mel Brown and Tim Koch are missing something.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of the pre-Boat Race Tideway Week are press days when a media launch follows certain designated crews engaged in gentle paddling, brief bursts and some starts. However, Mel was only able to capture some images of both women’s crews on Monday and on Wednesday Tim could only photograph the Cambridge crews – and the men only briefly. Regretfully, we both missed the Oxford men.

The intention was for the Blues and Blondie to do more side-by-side work but the Blue Boat had to return to their boathouse for a rudder adjustment and after this they paddled alone.
