Yesterday, John Thornell, Girls Head Coach of Stonington Crew and Director of Rowing, Stonington Community Rowing, Inc. (Connecticut) shared a video with HTBS. The video, now up on YouTube, was recorded on 23 January at the United Theatre in Westerly, Rhode Island. Prominent guest was Jim Pocock, Jr., grandson of Dick Pocock, who was the brother of George Pocock.

In the video, Jim Pocock is sharing some wonderful stories about his boatbuilding family and gives the audience some thrilling insights into the University of Washington’s 1936 Olympic crew – who by now everyone know because of Daniel James Brown’s bestselling book and/or George movie based on Brown’s book, The Boats in the Boat.
