The 2023 World Rowing Championships in Belgrade, Serbia, will start tomorrow on 3 September and run until 10 September. The following Olympic, Paralympic and International events are offered at the championships:
Men (M): M1x, M2x, M2-, M4x, M4-, M8+
Women (W): W1x, W2x, W2-, W4x, W4-, W8+
Lightweight Men (LM): LM1x, LM2x, LM2-, LM4x
Lightweight Women (LW): LW1x, LW2x, LW2-, LW4x
Para-rowing (PR): PR1 W1x, PR1 M1x, PR2 Mix2x, PR2 M1x, PR2 W1x, PR3 Mix2x, PR3 Mix4+, PR3 M2-, PR3 W2-.
The championships in Belgrade will be the first opportunity for World Rowing Member Federations to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Almost 1,000 athletes from 74 nations will compete in the 27 boat classes.
The first races will start on 3 September at 9.30 AM CET. The medal races start on Friday, 8 September at 13.05 CET.
