By Philip Kuepper

Ophelia, floating
in the Pre-Raphaelite dream
on the river of love lost,
holding to her heart
a bouquet of Sweet William,
her hair aureoled with englantine,
is become like a shell of herself
rowed by the oars
of what was never to be.
