Spears are oars, oars spears.
Sailors have rowed to shores
through history,
waving their oars (their spears),
sailors, some of whom come,
not in war, but inclination,
come testing the tempers
of men they happen on:
Negotiate with, or fight,
is the question asked,
on meeting friend?,
foe?
We possess the choice
of becoming either.
