Early Wednesday morning, it was announced that the great scientist Stephen Hawking had passed away at his home in Cambridge. He was 76 years old.

During his undergraduate years at University College, Oxford he was involved in rowing. In 2013, HTBS’s Tim Koch wrote about Hawking as he had just published an autobiography, My Brief History.
