This week is the last chance to see the “Art of Rowing”, an exhibition and sale which presents almost every aspect of oarsmanship at The Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seaport in Mystic, Connecticut. The show will close on 17 September, which is the same day as the museum’s annual rowing event, Coastweekes Regatta.

HTBS has published a couple of articles previously about the “Art of Rowing”, which is celebrating plying the oars in different vessels and on different waterways around the world. There has been a large interest among the public in the show since it opened on 29 July. At the opening reception, more than 100 people had gathered to enjoy drinks and hors d’œuvre, mingle and talk about paintings with some of the present artists, and rowing with the large contingent of local and regional rowers, who attended the opening.

If you are not able to visit the show in person during this week, you can view all the artwork here.
