Tickets to the World Premiere of Paris or the Bush, the documentary based on the story of the Murray Bridge Cods, to be screened on Saturday 23 April (Anzac long weekend) at Murray Bridge Town Hall, have sold out.
All proceeds from ticket sales, priced at AUS$50, will go to the Murray Bridge Rowing Club.
Guests will be greeted by a jazz band and vintage cars, an army guard of honour and rowing guard of honour. Drinks and nibbles will be served on arrival and at interval. The event will begin at 7 pm. Guests from around Australia will be attending as well as descendants and VIPs from Adelaide. All guests will receive a free special edition DVD of Paris or the Bush valued at AUS$25.
There will be another screening at Murray Bridge Community Club on 22 May and a Port Adelaide screening will follow a little later. The filmmakers are yet to negotiate a distribution deal for cinema or television.
