The Northeastern University Men’s Rowing Team celebrates their 50th anniversary this year. Created in 1965, the rowing programme took off rapidly when Ernest ‘Ernie’ Arlette, the team’s English coach and former Harvard sculling instructor, lifted the programme to an elite level in just a few years.
