After last year’s disruption of The Boat Race, the organisers take no chances this year. For the 2013 race on 31 March, 2013, special measures will be taken to prevent the race from being stopped by a swimming protester (read: ‘idiot!’). David Searle, executive director of The Boat Race Company Ltd, puts it simple: ‘Don’t do it!’
