Straw hat season will soon be upon us – 15 May – HTBS remembers when we saw this old photograph of Prince Edward, Prince of Wales, when he was visiting the Henley Royal Regatta in 1921. That was the year when Magdalen College, Oxford, won the Grand Challenge Cup, and the Dutch sculler Frits Evert Eyken defeated Jack Beresford Jnr in the final of the Diamond Challenge Sculls.
