12 March 2025
By Göran R Buckhorn
Today is the sixteenth anniversary of the first posting on Hear The Boat Sing (HTBS).
Each year, I write that I’m surprised that we are alive and kicking – and so also this year. Again, the reason HTBS is still here, and thriving, is because of all those regular and irregular writers who insist on penning articles and poems that grace this website almost daily. Of course, another reason is you readers who come back day after day to see what we are up to!
My warm thanks!
It was on Saturday, 8 March, that Tim Koch posted the 5,000th article on HTBS, appropriately an article about the International Women’s Day. Looking at another number, from the start 12 March 2009, we hit 3,545,665 page views late yesterday evening.
Not bad.

Happy birthday! I enjoy each and every one of your posts — glad to have found you!
