HOSR Story Hour: Celebrating Thomas E. Weil

Rowing historian Thomas E. Weil, who died on 1 September 2024, will be celebrated at the next HOSR Story Hour. Under the title “Thomas E. Weil: Rowing’s Extraordinary Historian & Collector”, Tom’s life and legacy will be celebrated by many of his friends.

Among those who will remember Tom are the following of his friends and colleagues:
David Vogel, Yale teammate, collaborator, and close friend
Bill Miller, rowing historian and collaborator
Chris Dodd, rowing author, collaborator, one of the founders of Rowing and River Museum
Diana Way, collaborator, resource, River and Rowing Museum
Peter Mallory, rowing historian, author of The Sport of Rowing, etc.
Bill Lanouette, rowing historian, author of The Triumph of the Amateurs: The Rise, Ruin, and Banishment of Professional Rowing in the Gilded Age
Paul Mainds, former director of the River and Rowing Museum
Steve O’Connor, director of River and Rowing Museum
Robert Missert, Marist University rowing alumni chair
John Ansley, head archivist, Marist University

Join the HOSR Committee 50 for the 22nd Story Hour as Tom Weil will be celebrate on 26 February at 12 p.m. EST
