Oars up,
in salute,
to the year just past,
the year just arrived,
’24 into ’25,
without a break
in the flow of time,
without a break,
though rowers have left wake
in the flow,
a wake to wake up the water
to itself in time,
a waking up making the water
realize the need
of rowers to row it,
and not just to let it
flow past them in time.
