In an article published on 9 December, I wrote that as of 1 January 2025, HTBS will “abandon” X (formerly Twitter). Instead, HTBS will use other social media channels to promote HTBS. Starting in the new year, HTBS will be on Instagram, Threads and Bluesky.

When I mentioned the changes in an Instagram post that HTBS was leaving Twitter, artist Rachel Hunt (@rowingartist) pointed out to me that it might not be a good idea to delete the HTBS account on Twitter. Doing so, anyone could pick up the name and use it and run a fake account in the name of HTBS. I never thought about that to be honest, but she is right.

I have now made the decision not to kill HTBS on Twitter but not be active.

As I mentioned in my previous article, you will find HTBS on Threads and Bluesky under the name: heartheboatsing.

Again, for those HTBS readers who don’t use social media, you can always subscribe to HTBS by clicking on the “subscribe button” in the column on the right between “Most Popular Posts” and “Recent Comments”. That way, you will receive an email each time we publish a post on HTBS.
