Australian filmmaker Michael Nicholson, of Melbourne University Boat Club (MUBC), is a household name for HTBS’s readers as he has shared some of his rowing films on these pages. In July, Mike went to the Olympic rowing in Paris and now he has sent HTBS a 30-minute film he shot at Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium.

However, the film is not only about the Australian rowers in Paris – where Jessica Morrison and Annabelle McIntyre took a bronze in the coxless pair – Mike’s film is also giving us glimpse of Australian rowers at the Olympic Games in 1980, 1988, 1996, 2008, 2016 and 2020 (2021).

And you don’t have to be Australian to enjoy Mike’s film.
