The Fire Alarm on the Water

They laughed about it, afterwards,
Those who had almost
Turned-in the alarm
When they saw what appeared to them
Flames at the tip of the rower’s oars,
When it was actually
Only the organge-red sun
Setting on the river
The rower was rowing through.
